Aziz Hazizi
LOCATION: Ethiopia
Aziz is in his forties and originally from Yemen. He was born in Saudi Arabia and worked in general construction until relocating to Malaysia. In Malaysia, Aziz utilized his entrepreneurial skills to launch Cicada Sign, an e-learning platform in American Sign Language, inspired by his little Deaf sister. Aziz is currently based in Ethiopia.
In his free time, he enjoys writing poems in classical Arabic, learning about AI, reading about various topics, from philosophy to the latest technologies, practicing ASL, and giving back to the refugee community. Aziz has deep expertise in Arabic and teaches Yemeni, Egyptian, various Gulf dialects, and Modern Standard Arabic with NaTakallam.
